Guided Tour of the Emissions Testing Process

Recorded On: 09/27/2022

Emissions compliance is a legal requirement that applies to almost all engine-related performance products. This impacts many manufacturers as the process requires demonstrating that a vehicle will remain emissions compliant once a product is installed.

In order to design products that meets emissions requirements, engineers and programmers need to be familiar with the emissions compliance process.

Re-watch as Peter Treydte, Director of Emissions Compliance at SEMA, takes a step-by-step tour of the emissions testing process that aftermarket manufacturers are typically subject to during this webinar presented by the SEMA Emerging Trends and Technology Network (ETTN).

In just one hour, you will learn:

  1. What kinds of products are tested
  2. What the test process entails
  3. What the dynamics of the tests are
  4. What preparation goes into the test
  5. Tips for successful results

Any aftermarket product that affects airflow, fuel delivery or tuning is considered emissions related and may require testing.
