Replica Cars - Everything You Need to Know About the New Federal Program

The federal government is finalizing a regulation that will allow low-volume automakers to begin selling turnkey vehicles that resemble classic cars produced at least 25 years ago. The SEMA-sponsored program was authorized under a 2015 law but placed on hold while the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) completed the implementing regulation. Eager customers will soon have a chance to drive their dream car. The seminar will address all aspects of potential car production. Topics will include: how to register with NHTSA, EPA and CARB; what is the definition of “replica car”?; how are the vehicles regulated by NHTSA?; and what type of engine packages can be installed in the vehicle so that they meet current model-year standards?
